From 1st to 4th June 2016, the Disabled People’s Association (DPA) was invited to participate in the Brainstorming Workshop on a Disability Inclusive Development Guideline after ASEAN integration: Toward ASCC vision 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop was organised by Thailand’s Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Disability organisations from all the ASEAN member countries attended this workshop to discuss the implementation of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Blueprint 2025 and ASEAN Vision 2025 documents. The workshop was also a great way to meet other DPOs in the region. DPA thanks the organisers for including us in this regional workshop. DPA is regularly invited to such overseas workshops and conferences and is happy to keep up with best practices overseas.
