Who is the Inclusion Ambassador programme for?
  • DPA members with disabilities.

We encourage individuals with disabilities to become Inclusion Ambassadors. You can visit the following link to apply for DPA membership.

Objectives of the Inclusion Ambassadors programme
  • Ensure that disability inclusion is led by persons with disabilities.
  • Provide opportunities for DPA members with disabilities to learn important communication, presentation and teamwork skills whilst earning an income.
  • Empower persons with disabilities to be active contributors to a more inclusive society.
  • Engage with individuals, companies, educational and religious institutions and the government to promote inclusion through our DATS and Access Guide services.

What makes the Inclusion Ambassador programme unique?
Although there is a growing awareness and demand for disability inclusion talks and training, many of the service providers are persons without disabilities. The environment we live in was designed without persons with disabilities in mind, which is often the reason there are many barriers to accessibility. If we are truly going to build a more inclusive society, persons with disabilities must be part of this journey and be leading all discussions about integrating the disability community.
