DisOrdinary Love’s Impact
On 31 May 2019, DPA held a workshop with Dr Martha Tara Lee, a sexuality educator and counsellor, and 20 parents of persons with disabilities. The attendees were enthusiastic about the need for such open and frank discussions, which led to DPA running workshops and counselling sessions that covered foundational topics such as body positivity, personal rights and boundaries, sexual health, sexuality, and relationships. After laying the groundwork with those sessions, DPA is now focusing on building up its online resources and collaborating with other partners to extend the reach and impact of this programme.
