The Disabled People’s Association wishes you Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD)!
IDPD is celebrated annually to raise general awareness, acceptance and understanding of persons with disabilities. This year, the theme of IDPD is disability inclusion, access and empowerment of persons with disabilities. In particular, it calls for cities to be more inclusive and accessible, for countries to improve disability data and statistics, and for persons with invisible disabilities to be included in society and development.
You can get involved in IDPD in many ways such as talking to a friend about disability inclusion, reading up about disability online, or simply click here to learn more about this special day: http://www.un.org/disabilities/default.asp?id=1637
Happy IDPD! Let’s continue to work towards an inclusive Singapore!
