DPA submitted an updated Parallel Report to the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)Committee in July 2022. This was done so that the Commitee could hear from the disability community and learn their views about disability policy and inclusion before they reviewed the Government’s progress in implementing the CRPD. Similar to the first report we submitted in 2019, this Parallel Report focussed primarily on the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities in areas of employment. It also outlined other areas that had a direct effect on building a disability-inclusive and disability-equitable workforce.
