Description : In celebration of the International Day for Disabled Persons(IDDP 2007),DPA organised an Evening of Music and Poetry last 14 December 2007.The spotlight shone on people with disabilities from various disability organisations who exhibited their artistic abilities and talents.
In conjunction with this annual event,DPA also launched its ZoCards which featured the award-winning print advertisements by Mr James Chua of Ace: Daytons Advertising (Int''''''''l) Pte Ltd. Each of the three designs used, highlights the physical and attitudinal barriers people with disabilities face every day in life.His designs won a number of awards here and abroad, namely, One Show New York 2007 Gold Single (for the Stairs version only), One Show New York 2007 Silver-Poster campaign, and Singapore''''''''s SPH Ink Awards 2007-Bronze. The event was attended by Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar (GRP), Ms Denise Phua Lay Peng and hosted by nominated MP, Ms Eunice Olsen.The evening proved to be a memorable celebration |
